Hey, Shadow!
A picture book portraying a little boy playing with his shadow who notices things about the nature of the shadow. He notices that his shadow is always with him, and runs with it. He discovers how, when he gets up onto the slide, his shadow moves away from him, and when he slides down it becomes part of him again. He also notices the shadow reflected on water, the shadow on the stairs, how it lengthens in the evening, and how it disappears when he stands in the shadow of a tree. The boy noticing familiar wonders, and seeing himself through his shadow, is vividly depicted using paper cut-out technique. (Doi)
