This picture book with captivating photographs portrays the lives of seafaring peoples and their children living in harmony with nature across three locations worldwide: the western Pacific’s Sulu Sea and Kapingamarangi Atoll, and the island of Madagascar in Africa. The simple lives of people who make what they need and freely sail the sea in small boats, receiving nature’s bounty and sharing it, are contrasted with the lives of people in the developed world surrounded by AI and robots, and exposed to territorial wars and hatred. The contrast illustrates that a different kind of happiness does exist.
