Lost for Six Days!
Year 1 high-school student Miku quit the mountaineering club after breaking a promise to her grandfather, by failing to climb a particular mountain. She goes on a one-day climbing trip to a mountain suitable for beginners with her friends Arisa, who needs distracting from her mother’s illness, and Yuma, who feels out of place at home after her mother remarried. However, they get lost on their way back down, and for the next six days wander through valleys and get caught in the rain. The narrative switches among the perspectives of the three girls, who are ill-equipped, hungry, and suffering from fever and injuries. Readers are drawn into their life-threatening experience as they face their fears and try not to give up. (Okuyama)
