Youngtimers’ Counseling Corner
This collection of six stories portrays a radio show called the Youngtimers’ Counseling Corner, where an actor and musician who love vintage cars converse about their listeners’ worries. In addition, the stories portray middle school students who listen to the show. In every story, the hosts of the show discuss a worry sent in by one of their listeners, and the listener begins to see things in a new light. The concerns from listeners include friendship issues, identity crises, and frustration toward society at large. The radio personalities’ humor and warmth bring out how each worry is serious to the person dealing with it, and no serious concern has one right answer. (DOI)
