Halo-Halo
Due to illness, Nonoka started high school a week late and has no friends yet. While she was still bedridden, Nonoka took English conversation lessons remotely at her mother’s suggestion. Nonoka developed a crush on her teacher from the Philippines and still harbors an interest in Filipino culture. Nonoka eventually comes to know Fuu, a classmate who has a Japanese father and Filipina mother. One day, Nonoka enjoys eating the dessert halo-halo in Fuu’s home. Nonoka and Fuu end up joining the cooking club together and selling halo-halo at a regional festival.
