Grasshopper Apartments
A collection of delightful tales about the insect characters residing in an old apartment block known as Grasshopper Apartments. There’s the grasshopper who is anxious about the cracks in the wall, a pine beetle who spends money like water, a bashful cabbage butterfly, and a stag beetle who runs a candy shop in the arcade. The landlord, who is also a grasshopper, lives in a sparkling clean apartment and shares fish mint tea with everyone. A praying mantis visits the apartment just to have some of that tea. The diverse personalities of the apartment residents, as well as the local dragonfly bookstore owner, coupled with the beautiful illustrations, make this an engaging read. (KONDO)
