This is a large format photo book about mole crickets, an insect similar to crickets and grasshoppers that lives around rice paddies, sheds its shell six times, and is adept at burrowing. Close-up photos with short captions introduce the life of a mole cricket, from the egg to the nymph and all the way to the adult form. Specifically, we see the mole cricket around the rice paddy, a close-up of its forelegs that can dig tunnels, being born from an egg, eating leaves and worms, shedding its shell, making a tunnel, and flying.
