Going to Make a Winter Coat
One snowy morning, a little bunny named Saki went to Miko, a dressmaker fox, to have her mother’s red coat refitted for herself. While deciding on the design for the refurbished coat, Miko asks Saki all kinds of questions about what she likes to do when she’s outside in winter and what she likes about her mother’s coat. The fine illustrations capture such details as buttons of various shapes and colors and bolts of beautifully patterned cloth, fostering in the reader an appreciation for the handiwork that breathes new life into old clothes. This is the third book in a series on clothes, following upon Going to Make a Spring Dress and Going to Make a Fall Sweater. (Okuyama)
