Atlanta has decided that she will cycle around the great lake alone. It is a ride of 360 kilometres, and she must be home again tomorrow. It is a foolish idea, but it is the only thing she can think of doing; the only thing she can do to forget that her mother is sick and that she will find out exactly how bad it is after the doctor’s appointment tomorrow.
